JYP’s Park Jin Young Reveals Shocking Medical Condition And Deformity

Singer Park Jin Young has revealed his secret medical condition. He appeared on JTBC’s Knowing Bros alongside TWICE members Nayeon and Dahyun, where he told some surprising personal stories. Nayeon revealed that Park Jin Young’s brain was not like others, and she wasn’t talking about his smarts or way of thinking.

Park Jin Young has a unique medical condition where his left brain artery was missing.

“During my first health checkup after debut, the ultrasound of my right brain artery was normal. But when they checked the left side, the doctor’s expression suddenly changed. He told the nurse, ‘Quickly prepare him for hospitalization.’ I was so shocked. It turned out I was born without a left brain artery — one of the vessels that supplies blood to the brain was missing.”

To put it simply, his brain was deformed. But it ended up helping him write songs!

“They found that my right brain artery had grown to be twice as large, and the blood flowing to the right brain was extending to the left. My brain was deformed. I thought, ‘That makes sense.’ Since the right brain is linked to creativity, maybe that helped me when I was writing songs.”
