It meant that fans couldn’t hide their excitement when it was announced that the group would reunite on stage for the first time in seven years at the 2022 MAMA Awards.

On the red carpet, it was impossible not to feel emotional seeing the members come together. As expected, they all looked as if they hadn’t aged one day, wowing fans with their visuals, charisma, and elegance.

The performances themselves were very emotional, sharing a reel of the group’s career from their debut back in 2007.

The first performance was a medley of some of their iconic tracks, including “LUPIN,” “STEP,” and “Mr.” It is clear that the members didn’t miss a step and truly lit up the stage.

There was then another VT looking at the members’ journey to their comeback, including their reactions.

They then sang their newest song, “WHEN I MOVE,” and it shows that although the members have gotten older and been through so much, they are truly still powerhouses in K-Pop.

Considering how legendary KARA is, it isn’t surprising that the idols watching in the arena couldn’t contain their excitement watching the veteran idols. In clips from the video taken by fans, the likes of Kep1er, TREASURE, and many more showed their respect for the idols.

When the performance was finished, social media was flooded with tweets praising the veteran idols. After seven years, the members proved they still have it and are as iconic as ever on stage in front of thousands of fans.

When the performance was finished, it wasn’t just fans who were seemingly excited by KARA reuniting. On Instagram, fellow second-generation girl group member Girls’ Generation‘s Sunny shared a picture of herself watching the performance, saying how proud she was of them.

2022 seems to be the year of iconic groups reuniting, and KARA is no exception. They have proved that despite being away for seven years, the idols are as strong as ever.
