Lately, KATSEYE’s Daniela has faced backlash over comments made by her father.

After Manon was announced to be going on hiatus the subsequent speculation took a more negative edge after Daniela’s father’s comments.

This has given some the impression that Manon’s departure could turn permanent.

Now, fans have discovered more comments from her father that have sparked feelings of disgust.

In a post on Facebook, a fan page asked users who they preferred between Daniela and BLACKPINK’s Lisa as a dancer.

An account appearing to be Daniela’s father commented on the post, saying “If you have to ask DANIELA! Much better trained. Plus she’s also Latina, major advantage against Asian dancers. Her hips r untouchable.”

The account making the post has the same name as Daniela’s father, and matches his now-deactivated Instagram.

This comment was shared on X, where netizens shared their thoughts. Many viewed his comment as racist towards Asians, generalizing their experience with learning dance.

Many netizens were also uncomfortable with how he spoke about his daughter, viewing it as “uncomfortable.” 

No official comment regarding any of the posts regarding Manon’s departure has been released.
