KBS Broadcasts Shocking Misinformation About NJZ (NewJeans), Issues Apology

KBS has come under fire after a recent radio broadcast shared inaccurate information about NJZ (NewJeans). The network has now issued a formal apology, acknowledging that the segment caused confusion among fans and listeners.

The controversy stems from the August 8 episode of KBS 1 Radio’s Feeling Successful with Lee Dae Ho, where a securities company researcher appeared as a panelist to discuss the current state and outlook of the entertainment industry.

During the discussion, the panelist made claims about NewJeans’ legal situation and music releases that were false. Specifically, the researcher stated that NewJeans was confirmed to belong to ADOR and had accepted this decision, and that the group had officially released music under NJZ.

Following the broadcast, listeners quickly raised concerns on KBS’ petition board, accusing the network of spreading false information without verifying the facts. Some petitions demanded a correction and measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.

KBS responded by posting an apology on the program’s homepage and YouTube channel. The network also edited or removed the segments in question from recorded videos and replay content and deleted related articles.
