KBS reveals that “School 2015” is currently under development

KBS announced plans to bring back their long running “School” series which aired it’s first season in 1999, stating that School 2015 is currently in development.

PD (Production Director) Park Sang Hoon stated that School 2015 is still very much in the developmental stage and “Nothing has been confirmed” regarding what the format and the cast of the show will look like.

Korean drama fans have expressed their excitement as the last “School” installment, School 2013, brought them Lee Jong Suk, Kim Woo Bin, and Park Se Young as well as catapulted them to their mega-star statuses.

Their portrayal as three high school students along side Jang Nara, Daniel Choi, and Yoo Joon Sang as their teachers was received well by audiences for their realistic portrayal of the relationships, conflicts, and growth that takes place during the precious high school years.

In addition, Lee Jong Suk and Kim Woo Bin’s “bromance” was praised for it’s unique approach and accurate portrayal of friendship between two young men and School 2013 is often cited as the drama that launched their careers.

Lee Jong Suk was praised as one of the “Gods of Hallyu” during his Asia fan meet tour last October while Kim Woo Bin is currently in talks with Kang Sora for the new Hong Sister’s drama.
