Rookie Idol Now Facing Backlash Over The Very Messages That Made Him Go Viral

“I knew he would cross the line sooner or later…”

Not too long after drawing attention for his K-Drama-esque Bubble messages, KickFlip member Kyehoon is now facing backlash for crossing the line with them.

In his latest string of messages to the fans, Kyehoon mentioned “going to London Bagel,” referring to a popular bagel café in Korea.

Kyehoon: I’m going to go have some London bagels.

Kyehoon: Or is that not trendy anymore?

While this message would have been harmless at any other time, the idol was unaware of the fact that London Bagel Museum is currently being massively boycotted for overworking a 26-year-old employee to his death.

As soon as his fans informed him about the news, Kyehoon apologized for mentioning the controversial café and said he would be more careful going forward…

Kyehoon: I’m sorry, I had no idea about the controversy.

Kyehoon: I’ll be careful going forward.

Kyehoon: Thanks for letting me know.

…except the message has since raised another red flag.

An older string of messages has since resurfaced, with Kyehoon telling his “adult fans” that he wants to “have some ‘hot’ talk.” While fans took it as a joke, the screenshot has since sparked some negativity surrounding Kyehoon’s overall Bubble activity.

Kyehoon: Are there any minors here?

Kyehoon: I’m an adult, so I’m cautious around minors.

Fan: What are you trying to say now…

Kyehoon: But I don’t want to act all cautious around my darlings.

Kyehoon: Listen up, adults.

Kyehoon: Are the adults listening?

Kyehoon: Let’s have some hot talk.

Fan: JUST GO.

A viral theqoo post saw hundreds of comments discussing the messages, with most agreeing that Kyehoon would probably be better off if he toned it down a little. One netizen, subscribed to his Bubble, noted, “It seems like Kyehoon feels pressured to keep sending funny messages on Bubble… I guess there are both ups and downs to it.”
