A netizen’s comment on a video by the Garo Sero Institute has sparked unconfirmed rumors about actor Won Bin‘s alleged involvement in Kim Sae Ron‘s debt to Kim Soo Hyun‘s agency, GOLD MEDALIST. According to these rumors, Won Bin was planning to pay the penalty fees to GOLD MEDALIST, which amounted to ₩700 million KRW (about $480,000 USD).
As a child actress, Kim Sae Ron continued her meteoric rise by co-starring with Won Bin in The Man from Nowhere, which became Korea’s highest-grossing film in 2010. She won two “Best Actress” awards for her role at the Korean Film Awards and the Max Film Awards, and she was nominated for a third at the Baeksang Arts Awards.
The rumors about Won Bin’s alleged involvement stem from a netizen comment that was reportedly left on a video released by Garo Sero Institute.
In it, the netizen praised Won Bin for allegedly planning to pay Kim Sae Ron’s staggering penalty fees and slammed Kim Soo Hyun for “demanding” repayment from the actress despite being quite wealthy himself.

Though the netizen’s comment did not state that Kim Soo Hyun refused to accept Won Bin’s alleged payment, some netizens have interpreted it that way and accused Kim Soo Hyun of being intentionally cruel to Kim Sae Ron.
