Korean Actor Shockingly Exposed By Girlfriend As A Married Man

A shocking story was featured on JTBC‘s Crime Chief, revealing that an actor boyfriend, who had promised marriage, was actually a married man.

On the afternoon of the 17th, the JTBC current affairs program Crime Chief covered the story of a woman in her 30s, Ms. A, who was deceived by theater actor Mr. B. Mr. B hid the fact that he was married while dating Ms. A, and when the truth came out later, he lied again, claiming to be divorced despite still being married.

According to Crime Chief, Ms. A met Mr. B a year ago when she went to see a play, and their relationship developed afterward.

At the time, Mr. B said that his parents were wealthy owners of a famous restaurant and explained, “My parents oppose my acting career, so I am living and practicing in a studio,” adding, “I want to succeed without my parents’ help.

Ms. A was attracted to Mr. B and soon introduced him to her parents. Mr. B also seriously informed Ms. A’s parents that he intended to date her with marriage in mind, effectively being accepted as a prospective son-in-law, and they even began living together.

Afterward, Ms. A’s parents actively supported Mr. B. They sent coffee trucks to the theater where he was performing as a gesture of goodwill and prepared group lunch boxes for his fellow actors. When Ms. A and Mr. B had financial disputes, her parents did not hesitate to provide financial support.

However, even after a year of dating, unlike Ms. A, Mr. B avoided introducing his own parents. Despite Ms. A’s repeated requests, Mr. B refused, saying, “I want to visit my parents after I have succeeded.

Then, Ms. A learned from someone acquainted with Mr. B that he had previously been married. Under pressure from Ms. A, Mr. B eventually admitted, “I was married, but I am already divorced.”

Angered, Ms. A demanded he “return everything he had taken from me and my parents,” and Mr. B apologized while kneeling and crying. Feeling softened, Ms. A decided to give him another chance.

Shortly after, Ms. A faced an even bigger truth. After indirectly hearing about Mr. B’s lies from others, she visited the restaurant run by Mr. B’s parents herself. There, she discovered the shocking truth: Mr. B’s claim of being divorced was false; in fact, he was a married man living separately from his wife.

During this time, Ms. A had trusted Mr. B’s continuous requests for money, citing reasons such as “overdue credit card bills,” “rent shortfalls,” and “costs for audition outfits,” and had provided tens of millions of won in support. Ms. A’s parents had also continued to support him, believing that the wedding date would soon be set.

Legal expert Park Ji Hoon, responding to the case, said, “There are circumstances indicating that Mr. B obtained financial benefits through deception, which could constitute fraud,” adding, “Civil claims for damages based on unlawful acts are also possible.

Attorney Shin Yoo Jin also advised, “In addition to mental damages, financial losses can be recovered,” and suggested, “If it is proven under what circumstances the money was given, Ms. A could file a lawsuit demanding repayment as a loan and potentially get the money back.”
