K-Pop artists can chart even higher on Billboard‘s charts thanks to Billboard’s new partnership with Melon.

In an official announcement, Kakao Entertainment‘s music platform Melon shared that they will provide their data, such as streaming numbers and download count, to Billboard through a partnership with Luminate Data Holdings, Billboard’s data management company.

The most recent Billboard Global 200 chart with Fifty Fifty’s “Cupid” at #3.

The data shared between Melon, and Billboard will be reflected in three charts: South Korea Songs chart, Billboard Global 200 chart, and Billboard Global Excl. US chart. Billboard went through months of data verification and review with Melon to determine the accuracy and validity of Melon’s data so that it accurately reflects South Korea’s current music market.

Melon’s strategic head Park Doo Wan shared a short comment regarding the partnership.
