Recently, an interesting debate has surfaced online regarding the phenomenon of K-Pop idols dropping birthday cakes.

Most fans can recall seeing an idol drop a cake at least once.

However, when a full compilation went viral online, people began to question why this occurs.

One netizen accused idols of doing this on purpose.

I hate it when K-pop idols ‘accidentally’ drop cakes. Most of the time, it’s totally on purpose.

Some speculated they do it to be cute or funny, while others were certain it was a way avoid eating cake while on a diet.

Many were simply angry at the issue, citing “food waste” as their main concern.

Others argued that most of these situations are genuine mistakes and that it has become yet another thing netizens will criticize idols for doing. A fan showed ENHYPEN eating cake off the floor, proving that they had no intention of dropping it.
