These Are The 3 New K-Pop Songs On Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales Chart

One of the artists has only made it on the chart once before.

The Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart is a chart that’s updated weekly to show which international singles are making the highest sales in the United States. As K-Pop becomes more popular worldwide, sales for songs in the genre are going up, and it isn’t unusual for at least a couple of new K-Pop songs to make it onto the chart each week.

This week, three new songs from the music genre made their debut, including one from an artist that has only been on it once before!

The highest-charting new K-Pop song to make the list this week is “What Type Of X” by Jessi! For its debut, the soloist’s latest single charted at #8 out of the 25 song list. This is tied with another one of her singles as her highest-ranking on the chart, with “Who Dat B” also reaching a peak of #8 back in 2019.

She’s had three other songs make the list in the past before: “Gucci”, which peaked at #9 in 2017; “Drip” (with Jay Park), peaking at #16 in 2019; and of course, “NUNU NANA”, which peaked at #17 last year.

The second K-Pop song to be newly added to the chart is none other than Brave Girls‘ massive hit, “Rollin'”! Even though the song was released originally in 2017, it has only recently been re-discovered and taken the K-Pop world by storm. For its debut, it’s ranked at #16 this week.

The girl group has had one other song make it onto the chart before, with “Deepened” peaking at #14 back in 2016!

The final new K-Pop song on the chart this week is Super Junior‘s latest single, “House Party”. It’s spending its first time on the chart at the #25 spot, though it’s far from being the group’s first song to make it onto the Billboard list.

In fact, it’s the 26th song by the group (not including sub-units) to be ranked on the chart, with their highest-peaking actually being both the 2011 song “A-CHA” and their more recent 2018 release “Lo Siento” (ft. Leslie Grace & Play-N-Skillz), both of which had their highest position at #2.

Besides these three songs, 11 other K-Pop songs add another week to their time spent on the chart. Most, as usual, are BTS‘s songs, with a total of 7 belonging to them: “I Need U” (returning to the chart this week at #3); “My Time” (ranked at #4); “Life Goes On” (listed at #6); “Euphoria” (at #7); “Filter” (ranked at #14); “Mic Drop” ft. Desiigner (coming in at #15); and finally, “Boy With Luv” ft. Halsey (spending the week at #17).

The other four K-Pop songs on the chart this week are all from different artists. VERIVERY‘s “Get Away” spends its second week on the chart placed at #1, which is incredible for the still-young group! BLACKPINK‘s “How You Like That” is now on its 37th week on the list, ranked at #10 this week.

SHINee‘s latest single, “Don’t Call Me”, comes in at #21 for its fourth week on the chart, and lastly, Rain and Jackson Wang’s collab song “Magnetic” spends its third week on the chart at #22.

Congratulations to all of the artists that made the Billboard list this week!
