LE SSERAFIM Hit With Scathing Criticism After Yunjin’s Speech Goes Viral
LE SSERAFIM is once again facing heavy criticism as a previous speech from Yunjin has gained renewed attention.

During her ment section at LE SSERAFIM’s first-ever concert, Yunjin spoke about overcoming difficult times and working hard to grow.
Do you know how a pearl is made? An irritant gets inside a shell, and through a very painful process, a pearl is formed. I believed that through this pain, I would create my own unique pearl. For the past two years, I’ve endured with the mindset that we have to work harder, grow even more, and protect the FEARNOTs whom we love.

Her words have sparked backlash, as netizens insist that LE SSERAFIM members are not working hard enough to improve their singing, dancing, and other idol skills. The post making these claims has gone viral, becoming a hot post on Pann.

Are LE SSERAFIM only “working hard” in words…?
They go around saying a ton of fancy, impressive-sounding things, but why has their skill level not changed at all since Coachella?

In the comments, netizens left even more scathing reactions.

- “It feels like gaslighting or some kind of cult. They never actually prove their effort or skills, but the way they talk and present their concept makes it seem like they genuinely believe they have overwhelming talent and overcame massive hardships.”
- “LE SSERAFIM is a girl group produced by Hitman Bang, and HYBE is basically betting everything on them, yet there’s a reason they can’t blow up. Fundamentally, the individual members’ abilities are just too weak, and compared to other girl groups, there’s zero sense of competitiveness. They’re not exceptionally pretty, and their skills aren’t good either. They can’t even capitalize on the company push. The songs themselves are good, but more than half the members can’t pull them off.”
- “Even if we assume all of them can handle intense choreography, there’s no reliable main vocal to carry the song, no lead vocal with a good tone, and no solid sub vocal either. If members like Sakura or Hong Eunchae have clear limits to how much they can grow vocally, no matter how hard they try, the other members should be filling those gaps, but the others can’t even carry their own weight. On top of that, 3 out of 5 members are Produce graduates, so public interest is already much lower compared to true rookies. In larger groups like IZ*ONE, TWICE, or Girls’ Generation, even if there are weak members, parts get divided up and flaws can be hidden by the group size. Being blunt, LE SSERAFIM’s member composition is wrong. With these members, they should’ve gone with a larger group. If you’re doing a 4–5 member group, it needs to be airtight skill-wise.”
- “No matter how much viral marketing people try to hype them up, it feels like these girls just aren’t going to make it.”
- “I guess even trying hard doesn’t work for them.”
