It was was revealed that actor Lee Dong Gun is currently in a romantic relationship with actress Kang Hae Rim, who is 16 years younger than him. While both parties refrained from making official statements, citing their relationship as a private matter, Lee has reportedly shared with those around him comments on his relationship. Previously, on May 29, 2025, when the news first broke out, both of the actors’ agencies maintained a cautious stance when contacted for confirmation, stating, “This is a private matter, and we cannot verify it.”

In a new report on June 1, 2025, Lee Dong Gun himself was said to have thanked the people around him, confirming the relationship with comments such as “Thank you for the congratulations,” and “I’m happy,” unable to hide his joy.

The couple has been spotted multiple times on dates around the Gangnam area of Seoul. Dressed casually and seemingly unconcerned about onlookers, Lee Dong Gun and Kang Hae Rim were seen enjoying public outings, strolling together affectionately and relaxing at cafes. It’s been said that Lee has introduced Kang to his acquaintances as his girlfriend.

This marks Lee Dong Gun’s first known relationship in the five years since his divorce. He married fellow actress Jo Yoon Hee in September 2017, and the couple had a daughter that December. However, they divorced by mutual agreement in May 2020, and Jo Yoon Hee has custody of their daughter.
