Lee Hyori Makes Chungha Cry With A Letter
The latest episode of Lee Hyori’s music program The Seasons- Lee Hyori’s Red Carpet witnessed an emotionally charged moment between the host and the guest, Chungha.
Chungha, who recently made her long-awaited comeback with the EP and with “Eenie Meenie” featuring ATEEZ’s Hongjoong, appeared as a guest on Lee Hyori’s Red Carpet on March 15, KST. The episode marked a special moment for the soloist, as she was face to face with her musical idol, Lee Hyori, for the first time on camera.
Chungha took this opportunity to express her admiration for the K-Ppop diva, mentioning that when she was young, she would spend her allowance to buy Lee’s albums. When the senior artist expressed her surprise at Chungha spending her money on her albums instead of other things that young people are interested in, the “Eenie Meenie” singer gave a heartfelt reply: “You were enough for me.”
She also gifted the host a handwritten fan letter, which Lee read out loud. In the letter, Chungha poured her heart out, thanking Lee for her music, which was a source of comfort for her while she lived overseas.
chungha started crying when lee hyori read her letter she wrote
“to my favorite artist: when I was young, when I had lonely feelings while living abroad, your music and activities made me smile and consoled me….from now on I hope you’re always happy and at peace. I love you” pic.twitter.com/WNSENr0kjj

This is my first time writing a letter as a fan who really likes an artist. Thank you for gifting me yet another new experience and memory.
When I was young, I felt lonely and lost while living abroad, and your music and various activities were my source of great laughter and comfort.
I hope this letter doesn’t make you feel uncomfortable in any way. Once again, I hope with a grateful heart that you’re always happy and at peace. I love you.
From,
Chungha, who loves unnie.
— Chungha’s letter to Lee Hyori
While Lee Hyori read the letter, Chungha was left fighting her tears, and by the end, she ended up crying. When the camera panned toward the audience members, they were also visibly moved by Chungha’s sincerity.
Lee Hyori tried to lighten the mood, joking, “Shouldn’t I be the one crying?” and Chungha ended up laughing through her tears.
Chungha might have been a successful K-Pop artist for a long time, but this was definitely her proudest moment as a fangirl!
