LE SSERAFIM Under Fire For Featuring Singer Who “Sexualized” School Girls
LE SSERAFIM are facing criticism from some fans after announcing a new remix of their latest title track, “BOOMPALA.”

The remix features Indian singer Guru Randhawa, a major artist in the Indian music industry. However, his involvement quickly became a topic of controversy online due to past criticism surrounding one of his own music videos.

Guru Randhawa previously faced backlash over the music video for his song “Azul.” At the time, many viewers accused the video of hyper-sexualizing schoolgirls and criticized what they viewed as an inappropriate dynamic between a photographer character and a student character featured in the storyline.
As news of the collaboration spread, some fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to express their disappointment and frustration.
Many questioned why LE SSERAFIM’s agency would choose to work with an artist who had previously been involved in such a controversy.
Isnt this the guy who sexualised and portrayed a school girl character as a love interest in his MV? What is hybe doing?

Others also criticized Guru Randhawa for allegedly limiting comments on his social media accounts rather than publicly addressing the backlash.
the fact that he restricts comments instead of addressing the issue and apologise is so disgusting omg

While some fans have called for greater scrutiny over the partnership, neither HYBE nor Source Music has publicly addressed the criticism surrounding the remix so far.
It’s on brand for HYBE since they love to scout and debut minors
