A Look Into Kim Jong Kook’s Luxury Newlywed House
According to reports, the Running Man star Kim Jong Kook recently purchased a 243㎡ unit in Nonhyeon Appelbaum 2, a high-end townhouse-style villa complex in the heart of Seoul’s Gangnam district. The price tag? Around ₩6.20 billion KRW (about $4.47 million USD) — paid entirely in cash.

With his wedding news just released, many have speculated that this will be his newlywed house. This was made even more certain as media reports already previously noted that Kim Jong Kook is said to have bought the villa for his own residence instead of as an investment. This came before his wedding news. The Nonhyeon area was recently re-designated as a land transaction permit zone, which makes speculative buying difficult. Fans also recall that on a recent episode of Running Man, he mentioned needing to move by June.

Built in 2011, Nonhyeon Appelbaum 2 consists of only 38 units, combining with its Phase 1 development for a total of 76 households. The residence is known for its airtight security, featuring five-layer detection systems, nearly 180 CCTV cameras, private elevators for each unit, and an underground parking system with individual entry. Its prime location near Dosan Park, Apgujeong Rodeo, and Hakdong Intersection also makes it highly coveted.

Celebrities such as Jang Geun Suk are also known to reside in the Appelbaum complexes.

Kim Jong Kook has previously shared that he prefers to invest in his health and lifestyle rather than real estate speculation. His choice of Nonhyeon Appelbaum, renowned for its privacy and exclusivity, aligns perfectly with his values. You can take a closer look at a model house in the complex below.
