According to media reports, it took three years to kick start production on the show. Although it had been highly anticipated, the team faced difficulties with casting. Many actors had rejected the role, thinking that it was merely a story about a fan falling for her idol. They finally decided on Byun Woo Seok as the male lead, and revved the engines on production. Three years is a long time, and various scheduling conflicts also caused their director to be switched out. Despite that, the drama beat all odds, and Byun Woo Seok shined in his role. The special song for the show, “Sonagi,” also made it into Melon Top 100, despite the song being just a prop for the show’s set up.
