MBC’s “I Live Alone” Suffers A Major Blow Amid Park Na Rae’s Controversy

I Live Alone has been directly affected by the aftermath of the Park Na Rae controversy.

According to Nielsen Korea, the MBC show I Live Alone, aired on the 12th, recorded a nationwide viewership rating of 4.7%.

This is a 0.5 percentage point drop from the 5.2% rating recorded by episode 625, which aired on the 5th. The previous lowest rating this year was 4.8% (episodes 601, 622, 623, 624), but due to cast-related issues, the show set a new low rating for the year.

In the episode, major-leaguer Kim Ha Seong appeared, while Park Na Rae, who has suspended broadcasting activities amid allegations including manager abuse and illegal medical procedures, did not appear.

On the 3rd, Park Na Rae’s former managers filed a provisional attachment on real estate at the Seoul Western District Court, citing specific and serious criminal accusations beyond mere unfair treatment—such as workplace harassment, special injuries, proxy prescriptions, and unpaid fees—and announced a lawsuit seeking around ₩100 million KRW (about $67,800 USD) in damages.
