MC Mong Tops Multiple Music Charts At #1 After Making His First Public Comeback In 10 Years
It’s been nearly a decade since MC Mong disappeared from the public eye after being accused of evading the military by intentionally pulling out his teeth.
But he’s returned to reclaim his throne at the top of the music charts!
Although he had released albums in the past couple of years, he had always declined to make a public comeback. He did nothing more than release his albums through music portal sites.
But for the first time since his “Humanimal” album in 2009, MC Mong decided to go public with his comeback by holding showcases and concerts.
And despite receiving negative feedback from netizens who can’t forgive him for his past military controversy, he’s swept multiple charts and took hold #1 on MelOn, Bugs, Genie, Soribada, and more!
His title track “Fame” ranked #1 on MelOn and his sub-track “Chanel” ranked #2.
Through an interview, MC Mong thanked everyone for the unexpected, overwhelming love.
It feels like a dream. I wish there was a word that was more thankful than thank you.
I’m also very very thankful to my fans, and I want to turn all the honor to my new family Million Market and their staff.
I’m happy but also sad. I want to make music in a more humble and lowly manner. Thank you.
