SEVENTEEN’s Jeonghan Leaves Fans With A Touching Message A Day Before Enlistment

On May 2, several media outlets shared links to videos of Jeonghan at the airport.

Yet, although fans always love to see their favorite idols while enlisted, the media outlets involved were hit with major criticism for filming Jeonghan at this time. Under the comments from the channel Golden Disc, netizens explained that the media shouldn’t be filming and that Jeonghan would have gotten prior permission to travel and didn’t need to film.

  • “The reporter was told not to film, though.”
  • “They said not to film;;; seriously
  • “So sudden???”
  • “It seems like he got prior approval to go overseas during his leave, but did they really need to film this…?”

Other fans shared concerns that Jeonghan was technically a civilian while serving, so they had no right to film, while others thought the video might make people misunderstand and think Jeonghan was doing schedules when it was personal.

Enlistment is a huge part of Korean life, and netizens are furious that Jeonghan is being treated as an idol when he is serving and taking personal time.
