Popular Idol Group’s AI-Generated Photo Sparks Massive Backlash
Recently, a media outlet was bombarded with criticism for editing a photo of a K-Pop group using AI.
RNX News posted a thumbnail of RIIZE on social media, only to face backlash for using an AI-generated image.

Fans who saw the edited photo, demanded that they change the image immediately.

No matter how much you want to troll to boost views, this is going overboard. Putting an image that defaces a person’s face with AI in an article could be illegal and a violation of portrait rights and defamation. I’ve reported this to KWANGYA 119, so if this is a media outlet (I’m not even sure if it is), please take the appropriate action.
The increased use of AI in media is not surprising, considering South Korea has ranked number one for trending AI slop channels.

With AI becoming more mainstream, many are focused on how it will affect K-Pop culture and media.
