Misogyny, Bullying, Bad Attitudes And More: The Scandals Placing A Shadow On “Boys II Planet”‘s ALPHA DRIVE ONE (ALD1)
Recently, Boys II Planet wrapped up with the series’ final episode, revealing the members of ALPHA DRIVE ONE (ALD1).

However, the final lineup has been greatly criticized, connected to the various scandals that the group’s members have been involved in.
1. Bullying
Kim Geonwoo was the subject of bullying allegations after an anonymous netizen accused him of bullying fellow trainees at a company called “Company B.”

The accuser alleged that the trainee received special treatment due to ties with two employees from the rookie development team. According to the post, Kim Geonwoo used his influence to bully other trainees, pushing some to seek treatment for depression and anxiety. Geonwoo apologized, but the reaction was less than satisfactory.

2. Misogyny
Lee Leo has faced scrutiny over his misogynistic lyrics, which included mentions of rape and assault and were believed to be part of the reason he departed from BIGHIT Music’s Trainee A project. The lyrics included violence against women and the trainee issued an apology following scrutiny.

They have recently resurfaced with his participation in Boys II Planet.
3. Clubbing
Another ex-member of Trainee A, Sangwon, was also criticized after he was allegedly exposed for going clubbing.

Rather than the criticism be directed towards the actual act of clubbing, netizens felt it was not a smart move for someone trying to debut and came across as unprofessional. Sangwon was also accused of “incel” behavior, stemming from a photo of him sitting in the seat reserved for pregnant women on a bus.
4. “Bad” Attitudes
Following the announcement of the group’s members, several were accused of “mocking” another trainee who did not make the group. At the least, many felt it was insensitive and showed that the members had “bad” attitudes.
