Mnet Asks Agencies To Check The Background Of Their Trainees For Any Wrongdoings

They want to avoid any more controversies.

It seems Mnet wants to avoid any more controversies after the former JYP Entertainment and ex-Produce X 101 contestant Yoon Seobin‘s scandal.

On May 8, 2019, broadcasting officials and the production team behind Produce X 101 have asked agencies to check on the background of the trainees they are sending to the show to make sure they have clean pasts.

It’s understandable why they would ask such a thing. Yoon Seobin was originally loved by the public due to his visuals. He was the “pick” of a lot of National Producers and even won the prize of one-minute self PR at the end of the first episode.

Now that Yoon Seobin’s past has been revealed and he has dropped out of the show, the production staff has to edit him out of the next episodes as not to harm the other trainees he was with.

An official has said,

The production team is asking the agencies to check the background of their trainees, for if they turn out to be controversial, they will shoulder the responsibility.
