Mnet M! Countdown in discussion to air special memorial broadcast for Shin Hae Chul

Cable channel Mnet has announced that they are currently in discussion to air a special memorial broadcast for the late Shin Hae Chul, a legendary rock idol in Korea who recently passed away.

On October 29th, M! Countdown representatives told My Daily, “It is true that the producer is considering stages and video reels to commemorate Shin Hae Chul. But details haven’t been decided yet.”

In addition, it was revealed a meeting is currently ongoing as they consider having artists decorate the stage with their interpretation of Shin Hae Chul’s popular tracks in his commemoration.

M! Countdown will be airing at its regular scheduled time on October 30th, and will most likely feature a traditional highlight video for the late rocker.

Shin Hae Chul passed away on October 28th at 8:19pm KST from brain ischemia injury due to lack of oxygen. He was 46 years old and is survived by his wife, Yoon Won Hee, his son and his daughter. He is set to be laid to rest on November 5th at the Seoul Memorial Park in Wonji-dong.
