ENHYPEN’s Jay Hit With Criticism Over Video With KATSEYE’s Daniela
Recently, a viral tweet shared KATSEYE’s latest TikTok and it seemingly showed that the members were mocking the male HYBE idols.

The OP sparked majorly divided reactions, with some fans angry at Yeonjun and Jay being ridiculed, but others were angry because the user had manipulated the video to make it directly seem as if it was mocking rather than clout. Others didn’t want the members interacting with the groups because they were worried fans would turn it negative when KATSEYE respected their senior HYBE idols.
Why would you mock yeonjun?????? @katseyeworld

tweeting this just to gain some likes from the same gg stans that dragged your girls is a nasty work esp when moas and txt have been nothing but supportive https://t.co/qnfWuQbNrn pic.twitter.com/RaJfb7JqtS

i refuse for u fuckass gg stans to use the kats as ur new mean girl persona. switching the audio and making them look like they were making fun of the original dance when really they were just dancing to the metal version is nasty work pic.twitter.com/seNpvDnqNf https://t.co/s2V89XmYKH

Crazy thing is – this account ain’t even lying cuz the sound the girls used DIRECTLY shaded the male idols dancing w/them, & they KNOW that.
1 year into their career, @katseyeworld really felt comfortable mocking these idols right after dancing w/them🙃pic.twitter.com/PVSa9H2kEi https://t.co/g0LLSVziYZ— Minnie : UNLEASH (@honeysforjay) May 22, 2025
In particular, fans pointed out that the original version on TikTok actually had a different version of the song, which seemed to channel “metal” vibes.
@katseyeworld HOTTIE HOTTIE 🎸🤘#KATSEYE #KATSEYE_Gnarly #Gnarly
However, some fans still thought that KATSEYE were mocking the male idols.
When one TikTok went viral, pointing out the similarities between the move done by Lara and Manon compared to Yeonjun…
@mycatzeye yeonjun is FR katseye 7th member 😭 #katseye #explore #fyp #fypシ゚viral #yeonjun #txt #tomorrow_x_together @KATSEYE
It sparked mixed reactions. Some thought it was mocking the idol and sparked criticism, but others thought it was just a bit of fun and the dance suited the “rock” version of the song.
The topic of male idols being criticized when doing dance challenges has become a hot topic.
