Multiple BTS Members Hit Milestone Achievements Within The Same Week, Proving Their Individual Star Power

A group of successful soloists!

BTS are no strangers to setting the bar and achieving extraordinary milestones with their music. Now that the members have officially started to promote their solo works officially, it looks like the same trajectory is bound to recur for their individual activities. This week alone, three BTS members have achieved different milestones as soloists, showing how their influence as artists is not limited to their brand as a group.

1. RM

With his new album Indigo, RM has been breaking old records and setting new ones since its release. On December 21, he crossed 1 billion streams across all credits on Spotify, joining J-Hope and Suga on the list. But even more significantly, his album charted at #3 on the Billboard 200 chart, making him the first-ever Korean soloist to crack into the top 5!

2. Jungkook

Jungkook had an eventful year with three solo releases. He released “Stay Alive (Prod. SUGA of BTS) for the webtoon 7Fates: Chakho, was featured on “Left And Right” with Charlie Puth, and also became the first Asian artist to sing the official FIFA anthem with “Dreamers.” This week he became the most streamed Korean soloist on Spotify. He also became the fastest Korean act to achieve 700 million streams on the platform.

Additionally, “Dreamers” became the fastest solo song by a Korean soloist to hit 100 million streams. He already held the record for the Fastest song by a K-Pop and Korean Soloist to reach 100 million Spotify streams with his collaboration on “Left And Right’ with Charlie Puth.

3. V

V unexpectedly dropped a cover of “It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas” on December 24, KST, giving ARMYs the best holiday gift possible. After the surprise release, the cover was trending worldwide at #1 on YouTube for two consecutive days in both the Music Videos and Music categories. The cover also topped SoundCloud’s New & Hot chart and Top 50 Song chart across all music genres. With that, he extended his own record as the Korean act with the most #1 hits on the Soundcloud Global chart.

Though initially, fans were worried about overlapping solo releases of the members, the last week alone is proof enough that each member is more than capable to touch hearts in their own way with good music.
