“Music Bank” Responds To Claims That Golden Child’s Bomin And Actress Shin Ye Eun Will Be Stepping Down As MCs

We’ll be sad to see them go.

Music Bank is currently being MC-ed by actress Shin Ye Eun, known for her role as Do Hana in the hit web drama, A-TEEN, as well as Golden Child‘s Bomin, who starred alongside her from the second season onwards of the show.

Well-loved for their chemistry and playfulness, the MC duo is rumored to be stepping down from their roles, a year after their first episode on the 5th of July 2019. On the 15th of July 2020, SpotTV News reported via an exclusive, that Shin Ye Eun and Bomin would be stepping down from their MC roles on the 17th of July 2020.

It is speculated that Bomin needs to focus on his promotions with Golden Child with their latest release, “ONE”, as well as his new role in JTBC’s upcoming drama 18 Again, while Shin Ye Eun’s acting career is taking off as a rookie actress with her success in Welcome and is slated to appear in a new drama as well, Number of Times Friends Become Lovers.

However, in an article with MK News, representatives from Music Bank responded, saying that they were still in discussions with regards to the two stepping down from their roles and that nothing has been confirmed.

Fans have expressed their disappointment at the potential departure of the two, due to their unbeatable chemistry and visuals.
