NCT’s Chenle Hastily Makes Clarification After Viral “Misunderstanding”
A fan recently gifted a mask to NCT‘s Chenle at a fansign in Singapore. He used it to entertain fans and members during the fansign.
Chenle had a blast scaring Jaemin with the mask.

He also seemed to love joking around with it, pretending to sip water through the mask’s mouth.
Trouble came knocking when a video of him sticking his fingers into the mask’s nostrils went viral. In a post on X with 2.3 million views and counting, a fan accused him of digging his nose.

After the post went viral, Chenle himself took to clarifying the matter via Weverse.
Hello Czennies, I think there has been a misunderstanding. People said I pretended to dig my nose, but actually my hair is long, so it was covering my eyes. I was going to push my hair to the side, but those were the only holes [in the mask] so it created an unexpected situation. That’s why I’m here to clarify it.
The clarification only made the situation more hilarious for fans! Other Czennies have been sending their kudos to the fan who made the entire debacle possible.
