NCT Wish Fans Draw Severe Backlash For “Betraying The Country” To See The Members
NCT WISH’s special performance at Caribbean Bay drew massive crowds — but not all of the attention was positive. On August 15, fans were spotted lining up overnight to secure the best view for the group’s stage. Photos and clips circulating online showed fans camping outside the water park entrance with blankets, mats, and camping gear.

The situation quickly sparked criticism, as many pointed out that not only did the overnight camping pose safety and hygiene concerns, but they were camping out on Gwangbokjeol, Korea’s National Liberation Day. Netizens expressed discomfort that Korean fans were going to extreme lengths to see NCT Wish, a group with many Japanese members, on such a day.
