Spoiler Alert

This article reveals plot details of a current movie or series.

Netflix‘s controversial new K-Drama will soon premiere, and some beloved actors will appear.

Previously, it was reported that Netflix would be releasing a 10-part mystery-comedy series about a father who tries to bring his daughter back to life after she transforms into a piece of fried chicken, appropriately titled Chicken Nugget. It’s based on Park Ji Dok‘s Webtoon Dak Gang Geong (Sweet & Sour Chicken), released in 2019. It stars Kim Yoo Jung (also known as Kim You Jung, who previously starred in My Demon, The 8th Night, and 20th Century Girl) as Choi Min Ah, Ryu Seung Ryong (Moving, Kingdom, and Miracle in Cell No. 7) as Choi Sun Man, and Ahn Jae Hong (Kingdom, Be Melodramatic, and Fight For My Way) as Ko Baek Joong.

The series revolves around Choi Min Ah, who transforms into fried chicken due to a mistaken usage of a fatigue-relief machine. Her father, Choi Sun Man, and intern Go Baek Jung join forces to reverse the transformation, uncovering dark secrets along the way.

The all-star cast and its unbelievable storyline are enough to pull viewers in. Yet, in a new promotional video, its stars revealed that some familiar faces would also appear in cameo roles.

Model and Squid Game star Jung Ho Yeon has been featured in the trailer. Ryu and Ahn confirmed she is making a cameo.

I would like to note her acting on how well she brought up the suspense. Not only that, but the role she plays also offers crucial evidence.

She was amid an intense schedule of heading to France overnight and everything. I must say, she really shocked me with her nonchalant acting despite such long lines.

— Ryu Seung Ryong

While ASTRO‘s Cha Eunwoo (also stylized Cha Eun Woo) was rumored to join the Chicken Nugget cast, it has never been confirmed. Instead, another popular idol-actor was revealed to make a cameo. It’s none other than GOT7‘s Jinyoung!

Oh, and we can’t forget him. [Actor Park Jin Young.] He’s enlisted in the military now, and I hope he comes back safe and sound.

— Ryu Seung Ryong

However, the most shocking cameo comes from the fact that netizens believed this actor to have a starring role. The male leads explained that while Kim Yoo Jung plays the character for which the story revolves, she doesn’t appear in every episode since she’s turned into a chicken nugget.

Even actress Kim Yoo Jung, who starred as my daughter, wasn’t featured in that many episodes. Even so, her presence in the drama is quite dominating all throughout. We were practically dancing when she first accepted the offer.

Still, the drama would not exist without her. So, she is often the center of the posters, trailers, and press events.
