Netflix Drama “The WONDERfools” Director Addresses ASTRO Cha Eunwoo’s Tax Evasion Scandal

At the production press conference for The WONDERfools, ASTRO‘s Cha Eunwoo, who is currently serving in the military, was mentioned.

On the morning of the 12th, the Netflix series The Wonderfools production press conference took place at JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square in Seoul.

Director Yoo In Sik, along with actors Park Eun Bin, Choi Dae Hoon, Lim Sung Jae, Kim Hae Sook, Son Hyun Joo, Jung Yi Seo, Choi Yoon Ji, and Bae Na Ra, attended the event.

Director Yoo In Sik responded to questions regarding Cha Eunwoo amid allegations of hundreds of billions won of tax evasion by saying, “We became aware of the issue after the editing and post-production were already completed.” He added, “This project was my dream, and everyone worked hard for every second. We prioritized the overall completeness while editing and working on post-production.”

Furthermore, he asked for understanding, stating, “Since this is a personal issue concerning the actor, I kindly ask for your understanding regarding my comments.”

Park Eun Bin spoke about working with Cha Eunwoo, saying, “From the beginning of preparing this project, the director emphasized the importance of team chemistry. Everyone kept that in mind the most. We will soon be able to see the result created from everyone’s best efforts.”

Netflix’s The WONDERfools is set to be released on the 15th.
