Netflix’s “You And Everything Else” Fails To Chart, Here’s What Koreans Think
Netflix’s latest Korean drama You And Everything Else debuted with high expectations but quickly fell flat, failing to secure a spot on the platform’s trending charts. Despite its star-studded cast and heavy promotional push, the series struggled to gain momentum internationally.

The show failed to enter Top 10 in any country other than South Korea. This is a first for Netflix Korean originals.

Korean viewers have been vocal about their surprise at how it did not seem to chart overseas. Some offered the explanation that the pacing as “draggy” and “too slow,” while others pointed out that the drama simply seemed to be about two girls fighting over a guy. A few noted that while the acting was strong, the overall color scheme was too gloomy to make it a comfortable watch.

- I watched it all and sobbed… It was a good drama…
- I watched it all yesterday. They’re really good at acting.
- Apart from the content, the color scheme was just too dark, so it made it hard to watch. Even if I set the screen to the brightest setting, I couldn’t see well. You have to turn off the lights.
- Is this fun? I was interested after watching the preview, but is it too heavy?
- It seems way too serious and way too slow-paced, so I’m not into it.
On the flip side, others defended the show, saying it offered great acting and emotional direction. You And Everything Else is about the friendship of Eunjoong (played by Kim Go Eun) and Sangyeon (played by Park Ji Hyun), spanning their 10s, 20s, 30s, and even 40s.
