K-Drama Actor Accused Of P*dophilic Tendencies By Angered Netizens
Actor Choo Young Woo has found himself embroiled in controversy yet again. Earlier this year, he was criticized for following a BJ and a rapper with a criminal record, and now he is under fire for his phone case.
On September 4, photos from a Tom Ford event showed Choo using his phone, and the case quickly became a hot topic online.

The design depicted a schoolgirl character wearing a garter belt and a short skirt, standing in front of a store sign reading “ADULT GOODS.”

The words “LOVE MERCI” were also printed on the case—known to be the name of a real adult store in Akihabara—further fueling the backlash. Many called him out for alleged pedophilia.
Choo Youngwoo was exposed for using a phone case with a drawing that had pedophilic undertones.

What intensified the criticism was the artist behind the illustration. Though not a well-known figure, with only around 500 followers, the artist actively promoted sales of the phone case on Instagram. Their other works also featured schoolgirl characters in revealing outfits or provocative poses, raising further accusations of sexual objectification. Netizens flew into rage.

- It’s my first time seeing his face in detail… And just look at his eyes. Not only is he f*king ugly, but his eyes are testament to physionomy.
- Just stop coming out on tv.
- Wow.
- He doesn’t even stop.
- Why do fans like him when similar controversies keep being repeated? Don’t you have any shame as a woman?
- I’m fascinated by how he still has fans despite having followed racy live streamers.
The situation has drawn heightened scrutiny because this isn’t Choo’s first brush with controversy. Born in 1999, Choo debuted in 2021 and gained attention through The Queen’s Umbrella (also known as Under the Queen’s Umbrella). You can read more about his controversy below.
