Netizens Defend Han So Hee After Media Reports On NH Bank Replacing Her As Model
Actress Han So Hee is parting ways with a major Korean brand she has endorsed since 2021.
According to reports on March 19, KST, Nonghyup Bank (NH Bank) has decided to part ways with the actor following the expiration of their contract with the actress earlier this month.
Han So Hee was selected to be a model for the bank in 2021, working for three straight years with them. However, after the contract expired this year, the bank decided not to renew it with her. They have reportedly found a new star model to be the next face of their brand and plan to begin promotional filming soon.
Though the bank parting ways with Han So Hee is primarily reported as the contract expiring, many media outlets speculated that the recent controversies surrounding the actress influenced the decision. Some netizens pointed out that for banks especially, having a representative who has a reliable image, which they felt Han So Hee is lacking. However, many came to the actress’s defense, pointing out that contract expirations are usually decided well in advance, and it is unlikely that the current situation had any impact on it.
- “But I think the contract’s expiration was already set.”
- “This just means their contract ended. Why are you all behaving like this?”
- “Jun Yeol, take responsibility.”
- “Why are the reporters saying all this?”
- “This is just the contract period ending because it has reached expiration. Anyway, a renewal of an advertising contract is not a usual feat.”
- “These were all probably set way before anything had happened. Why do reporters want to connect dots this way?”
Meanwhile, Han So Hee has been embroiled in a major dating “Scandal” with actor Ryu Jun Yeol, and the controversy involves his former girlfriend, idol-turned-actress Hyeri. Read more about it here.
