Netizens Are Surprised To Discover That ATEEZ’s San And THE BOYZ’s Juyeon Were Used As Inspiration For Famous Queer Thai Drama

Fans’ worlds are colliding.

ATEEZ‘s San and THE BOYZ‘s Juyeon are two of the most legendary visuals of their generation, yet netizens were still surprised to discover that they were seemingly used as inspiration for a famous queer Thai drama.

THE BOYZ’s Juyeon

Incidentally, both idols know each other and in fact, have even worked together on more than one occasion…

…most famously when ATEEZ and THE BOYZ were both cast in the survival show Kingdom: Legendary War. The show was a sequel to 2020’s Road To Kingdom, which was won by THE BOYZ.

Throughout their time since debut, members from each group have befriended each other. This has led to some of the sweetest interactions, such as when THE BOYZ’s Kevin completed ATEEZ Mingi‘s heart at the recent 2022 The Fact Music Awards.

But an “interaction” that certainly no one was expecting came when it was revealed that San and Juyeon were allegedly used as a reference in Thai action romance KinnPorsche.

The drama centers around the relationship between the two protagonists, Kinn Anakinn Theerapanyakun (played by Phakphum Romsaithong) and Porsche Pachara Kittisawat (played by Nattawin Wattanagitiphat). Kinn is the heir of the Theerapanyakun crime family, and when he is attacked, underground fighter Porsche, who works as a bartender by day, comes to his defense. Kinn hires Porsche to be his bodyguard, a job that Porsche accepts so he can pay for his younger brother to go to university. As the two work together, they begin to form a romance.

In a photo from behind the scenes of the production, netizens were shocked to see pictures of San and Juyeon on the actors’ mirrors.

This seemed to indicate that the two idols were being used as inspiration for the styling of the lead characters, with Juyeon serving as a reference for Kinn and San for Porsche. Fans of both the drama and the two idols were left (understandably) shook.

Some hilariously questioned how to process it…

…while others simply acknowledged the major collision of worlds that was taking place.

All in all, San and Juyeon’s appearance on the set of KinnPorsche was hilariously unexpected, but welcome nonetheless!
