Netizens were not pleased after tickets for IU‘s 2024 IU H.E.R. World Tour Concert in Taipei shows went on sale.
While fans expected the ticketing to be difficult due to IU’s popularity, many accused the organizers of withholding tickets to be given away for free to those who aren’t actually fans of IU, such as influencers and other celebrities. Netizens also believed ticket scalpers used bots and programs to bypass specific steps of the ticketing process, making it difficult for regular fans to be quick enough to grab tickets.

As more and more netizens expressed their anger and frustrations towards the ticketing system, KKTIX released a statement addressing the situation.

Our company solemnly states the number of tickets available for purchase by customers on March 6, 2024, at 13:00, for the show 2024 IU H.E.R. WORLD TOUR CONCERT IN TAIPEI, amounts to more than 95% of the total seats. All online rumors about the withholding of seats are untrue. The number of users trying for tickets reached 700,000 at 13:00 today when ticketing opened. The number of tickets available for two shows at the Taipei Arena is at most 20,000, so many fans could not successfully purchase a ticket.
To protect the customers’ rights and interests, the organizers spent a great effort for this show to be able to utilize the real-name ticket system. All tickets with incomplete personal information or payment at 13:00 will be re-released for sale at 19:00. ALL of these seats will be released for customers to purchase online. All online rumors about the withholding of seats by the organizers are untrue.
