Netizens React To How Much A K-Pop Fan Made After Selling Photo Cards Online For A Week

This is a business on its own!

With K-Pop becoming a global industry, more fans are joining the photo card phenomenon. In K-Pop, albums and events come with various photo cards, and many fans have become hooked on collecting all of them!

An online community post gained attention about a K-Pop fan who revealed how much they made by selling photo cards they had accumulated over the years through the Phocamarket app.

I organized and sold the photo cards that I’ve accumulated over the years through the Phocamarket app, and I sold them for as little as 500 KRW ($~0.37 USD) to 130,000 KRW ($~95.33 USD). And in just one week I made over 1,000,000 KRW ($~733.34 USD). Since I’m just getting back the money I spent on the album, it’s nice to get money in return for things that I had just laying around. This is my money to buy chicken today.

In the screenshot of their earnings, they confirmed making over 1,000,000 KRW in just a week.

  • “Wow that’s crazy. I should send mine in too. Did you have any photo cards sent back? Is the inspection process difficult?”
  • “About half of mine were returned. I sent 1000 photo cards and had 482 of them returned to me. I didn’t take the time to check if they had any flaws so that’s probably a lot of them were sent back to me.”
  • “I’ve never done this before, do I have to set a price for each one? It’s hard to set a price when selling on Twitter.”
  • “I have to set a price for each one! But they show you how much the photo card was sold for recently on the app.”
  • “Wow I threw all mine away. Crazy.”
  • “Ah what a waste. I had a hard time organizing and packing everything.”
  • “Wow congrats! I should make some time and send mine, too.”
  • “Today is that day. Organize them and send them! I told myself I would do it last year, and I’m finally sending them in now.”
  • “Wow what photo card cost 130,000 KRW? So curious.”
  • “A Subk photo card! I didn’t know the price had increased for this either.”

Have you sold photo cards before? Is it worth it?
