New MCs For MBC’s “Show! MusicCore” Spark Mixed Reactions

Each weekly K-Pop music show has MCs that help keep the show’s flow, usually selected from idol groups. More often than not, the MCs selected are newer to the industry, like ILLIT‘s Minju, who was appointed MC of Music Bank a few months after debut.

Recently, it was announced that the MC team of NMIXX‘s Sullyoon, actor Lee Jung Ha, and THE BOYZ‘s Younghoon for Show! MusicCore would be stepping down from their positions for new MCs to take their places.

On February 10, it was reported by multiple news outlets that ZEROBASEONE‘s Gyuvin and TWS‘s Dohoon would fill the positions. Additionally, a member of SM Entertainment’s upcoming girl group, Hearts2Hearts, will join as an MC.

Netizens reacted to this news with various responses, including congratulating the newly appointed MCs.

Others, however, questioned the choices, including the appointment of someone who has not debuted yet. Many commented on the power of “big” companies or groups and how they can make things happen for their idols.
