NewJeans’ Hyein Gains Attention For Her Unexpected Reaction To TREASURE’s Hyunsuk

NewJeans and TREASURE attended the 37th Golden Disc Awards on January 7, where they had many unforgettable interactions with other K-Pop idols. This included some very noteworthy ones with each other, particularly one between Hyein and Hyunsuk.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, NewJeans proved to be good friends with LE SSERAFIM. Not only did they seem clearly comfortable with each other…

…but they delivered some of the most adorable friendship moments as well, such as when LE SSERAFIM’s Sakura attempted to protect the innocence of younger girls Eunchae and Hanni of NewJeans.

TREASURE made fans happy with their interactions with SEVENTEEN—especially since those interactions were a long time coming.

Luckily, there were some great moments between NewJeans and TREASURE, starting from the latter’s reaction to NewJeans’ performance.

Yet, that didn’t top the unexpected reaction NewJeans’ Hyein had to TREASURE’s Hyunsuk!

joined fellow ’99-liners SEVENTEEN’s Dino, (G)I-DLE‘s Yuqi, and Stray Kids‘ Changbin for a small skit as a member of the “Golden Bunnies.” The group was nicknamed after the idols’ birth year, which is the year of the rabbit.

After the “Golden Bunnies” finished their skit, they all went to sit down in the same general seating area. Dino ended up sitting with Changbin, leading fans to joke about his becoming the “ninth member of Stray Kids.”

Hyunsuk, however, went to sit with his members, who happened to be next to NewJeans. In a fancam of Dino, Hyein can be seen in the back. When Hyunsuk sat down on the seat next to her member Haerin, Hyein did an amusing double take as her mouth opened in shock.

Yet, seeing as this is not a totally uncommon reaction from her…

…it just goes to show that she’s ready to be a variety show queen! Ultimately, her reaction gained plenty of love, as it shows just how cute she really is.
