NewJeans showcase their undeniable power after receiving a shoutout from an unexpected source: the 80th Golden Globe Awards red carpet!

It’s no surprise that NewJeans’ popularity extends far outside of Korea, despite the fact that the group is still relatively new.
Fans were proud to see that NewJeans are, in fact, a smash hit everywhere, which was proven by the recent shoutout they got from American actress and comedian Ayo Edebiri on the 80th Golden Globe Awards red carpet. In an interview, Ayo Edibiri showed some (enthusiastic) love for NewJeans as she gushed about the group and their song “Ditto.”

The high praise made fans happy, as it really shows NewJeans’ far-reaching influence.
The interview also reminded them of another recent viral moment wherein actress Emma Meyer recommended a SEVENTEEN song while speaking on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.
Needless to say, NewJeans are already icons in their own right, as evidenced by their shoutout from the Golden Globe Awards red carpet!
