“NJZ (NewJeans) Is Five”— Bunnies Clap Back At ADOR And HYBE Over Danielle’s Departure

The fandom released an official statement.

Recently, ADOR confirmed that they had terminated their contract with NJZ’s (NewJeans) Danielle.

They determined that it would be difficult to continue working with her and notified her of the termination of her exclusive contract. They also added that they would hold one family member of Danielle and former CEO Min Hee Jin, who are significantly responsible for causing this dispute and the delayed return of NJZ, legally accountable.

ADOR Confirms Contract Termination of NJZ’s Danielle

With this, NJZ’s fandom, Bunnies, released an official statement regarding the matter.

“NJZ’s fandom, Bunnies, strongly condemns HYBE, ADOR, and Bang Si Hyuk’s attempt to disband the whole group. Was bringing back NJZ only to tear them apart? NJZ is Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein.

Despite all the members expressing their intention to return together, HYBE and ADOR only notified one member of contract termination. This is an outrageous attempt to unilaterally disband the five-member NJZ (NewJeans) and is an act of deception to the court, the parties involved, and the fans.

ADOR previously stated to the court that they are preparing for NJZ’s full-length album and concerts, and are simply waiting for their return. The court, based on this trustworthy relationship, recognized the validity of their exclusive contract. The members all agreed to respect the court’s ruling and declared their intention to return together. Fans respected the decisions of the members and, as fans, supported them, hoping for a successful comeback.

However, ADOR changed as soon as the full reinstatement of the members, stalling for over 40 days before issuing selective termination notices, intentionally attempting to divide the group. Was the intention to bring back NJZ to tear them apart?

NJZ’s strenth lies in each of its five members, bringing a unique and perfectly balanced taem. The decision to disband the group, which is their only artists who had driven the company’s profits with their high IP value, cannot be explained by the usual judgment of an entertainment agency.

This is an act of tyranny by HYBE and Bang Si Hyuk, who are ADOR’s majority shareholders and decision makers. Bang Si Hyuk has discriminated against NJZ, excluding only the groups he created by labeling them ‘one team.’

Disbanding the entire group, in the face of fierce opposition from fans and against the wishes of the individuals involved, undermines the values of NJZ, tramples their artistic freedom, and clips their wings. This will undoubtedly be remembered as one of the worst precedents in K-pop history.

NJZ is a culmination of the memories and bonds created by the five members and their fans. We strongly condemn those attempting to disband the group. HYBE, ADOR, Bang Si Hyuk, and his henchman Lee Do Kyung have just proved they lack qualifications and competence as NJZ’s agency. Liberate NJZ! Guarantee freedom for the NJZ members!”

Meanwhile, fans are expected to escalate actions, including online hashtag campaigns, truck protests, and boycotts. With this, more pressure on HYBE and ADOR is expected to intensify.
