NJZ’s (NewJeans) Hanni Directly Mentions Their Current Situation Impacting “Another Team”
NJZ (NewJeans) Hanni has addressed the impact of their situation on “another team.”

On March 26, BBC released an interview with the group.
During the video, Hanni explained that everything that had happened throughout the past year had been done through a lot of discussion.
In particular, the idol seemed to bring up the fact that groups have also been brought into the issue, which could have referred to the initial plagiarism claims against HYBE group ILLIT when the issues first arose. One of the first concerns brought up was the allegations of ILLIT’s concept of copying NewJeans.

Hanni explained she wasn’t comfortable constantly bringing up the situation because of the “other teams.”
We’re not that comfortable about constantly bringing up the situation because we know it involves another team, and we don’t want to affect that team in any way because there’s no need for that. There really is no need for that.
— Hanni
She then added that as much as they didn’t want to, they needed to express their feelings so that people knew. Hanni explained that if they hadn’t said this, people would have believed what was being said in the media.
