In the teaser video for the first episode, which will be released on March 6, NMIXX’s Bae signs a fake contract termination agreement and is seen “packing” her stuff in the JYP Entertainment practice room.
Fellow members Jiwoo and Haewon come to say “goodbye” to Bae and participate in fake interviews where they’re asked why the company decided to “terminate” the contract.

The show is intended to be comedic and explores how Bae will deal with the unexpected setback and choose her “second life.”
Many fans are excited to see Bae featured in the program and are looking forward to the release, but others are calling out the theme of the ASAP STUDIO show for being “insensitive” following former NMIXX member Jini‘s (formerly known as Jinni) unexpected contract termination in December 2022.
Reactions to the teaser have been divided, with some feeling that the subject of the show is “shady” in consideration of Jini’s departure.
now why does this plot sounds familiar?….

of course nmixx would be the type of group that would do a show based on the hypothetical of a member leaving the group like it didn't literally happen ππ https://t.co/fyKc9bbhtX

Others have defended the show and see it as the comedy program it was intended to be, encouraging fans to tune in and support the members.

There is nothing healthier than taking a serious subject and turning it into entertainment, fun, but of course Twitter (virtual asylum) will try to do everything to problematize this. It doesn't hurt to try to be happy sometimes guys… at least try to tune in to the group https://t.co/JUabzA7xlI

kpop stans are so annoying when they get in nmixx's business pretending to gaf about them
they need drama to thrive since they have nothing of actual value happening in their personal lives so they have to project onto idols to feel like their lives have any kind of substance https://t.co/GSTbJxQW5h— α₯«α‘ (@bunnimixx) February 28, 2024
