“Nugu” Male Idol Goes Viral For Being “Girl Group Gorgeous” Following Visual Transformation

Many idols are known for having out-of-this-world visuals. aespa‘s Karina, for one, has often been described as having AI-level visuals, while IVE‘s Jang Wonyoung often makes headlines for looking beautiful while crying.

However, recently, a male idol’s transformation over time has become a hot topic.

In 2022, the survival series Boys Planet premiered, introducing fans to a number of trainees, though not all made it into the debut group.

This meant that many were excited when it was announced that several would debut as members of the “genderless” group, XLOV. XLOV officially debuted on January 7, 2025, with “I’mma Be.”

The group have become known for their boundary-pushing concepts and visuals, which lean into both feminine and masculine visuals.

Recently, it was announced that the group would be making a comeback I, God, and have shared visual teasers. Member Rui has especially drawn attention, including when contrasted with his previous appearance.

While on Boys Planet, Rui had a look more typical of male idols, including dark hair styled in a more typically “masculine” way.

In his recent teasers, Rui looked stunning, sporting a long, blond wig and dramatic make-up.

More than one post featuring the idol has gained over a million views, with many expressing awe over his appearance.
