Dispatch’s Bombshell Exposé — “Love Your W” Charity Under Fire As Donation Numbers Don’t Seem To Add Up

Did they swallow the funds?

W Korea’s annual Love Your W breast cancer awareness campaign party is facing growing scrutiny — not just for its celebrity-filled party atmosphere, but now for its questionable donation transparency.

According to a report by Dispatch, celebrities attended the event completely unpaid, covering their own hair, makeup, and styling costs to genuinely support the charity’s mission. However, W Korea allegedly accepted hefty payments from luxury sponsors instead. Fashion brands reportedly donated around ₩30.0 million KRW (about $21,200 USD) each, with jewelry houses contributing ₩5.00 million KRW (about $3,530 USD) apiece.

Dispatch confirmed that 29 high-end brands — including Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Cartier, Valentino, Prada, and more — participated, meaning the total sum should easily reach around ₩1.00 billion KRW (about $706,000 USD) in a single year.

But here’s where things get suspicious. Over the past 20 years, W Korea’s parent company Doosan Magazine has reportedly donated only ₩1.10 billion KRW (about $776,000 USD) in total — averaging just ₩50.0 million KRW (about $35,300 USD) a year. The organization claims this money helped fund breast cancer screenings for 500 women, yet no clear records of how the funds were actually distributed have ever been made public.

Adding fuel to the fire, W Korea’s social media posts heavily featured luxury mentions such as Dyson, Moët & Chandon, and Perfumer H, describing them as “perfect for the party” — further blurring the line between charity and commercial showcase.

As of now, W Korea has yet to issue an official statement, but public outrage continues to grow over what many are calling “a charity that forgot its purpose.”
