Park Na Rae Mother’s Puzzling Action Complicates The Controversy With Former Managers

Controversy surrounding broadcaster Park Na Rae is spreading once again. This time, the issue flared up after it was revealed that Park Na Rae’s mother transferred 10 million won each to two former managers, reigniting tensions.

According to a media report on the 7th, Park Na Rae’s mother deposited ₩10.0 million KRW (about $6,790 USD) each into the accounts of two former managers around 10pm KST on the 4th. This occurred approximately seven hours after the former managers filed a provisional seizure request worth about ₩100 million KRW (about $67,900 USD).

However, the former managers immediately returned the money and sent a warning message through their lawyer, urging them not to repeat such actions. It is reported that Park Na Rae learned about the money transfer from her mother during discussions with her attorney.

In response, a representative for Park Na Rae told OSEN, “Park Na Rae was in the process of coordinating her stance with her lawyer at the time. It appears her mother acted independently out of worry.”

The problem is that Park Na Rae’s mother is effectively the actual representative of her agency. Because of this, concerns have been raised that this transfer could work against them legally. Currently, the former managers have filed a lawsuit against Park Na Rae for special injury, alleging she misused company funds for personal purposes such as for an ex-boyfriend, and have also accused her of embezzlement.

On the other hand, Park Na Rae counters that the former managers demanded a large sum based on false claims and has filed a counter-suit accusing them of extortion. As legal battles escalate, attention is focused on how the conflict will ultimately be resolved.

Meanwhile, Park Na Rae is also under investigation over allegations of illegal medical practices. A complaint was reportedly filed through the National Civil Complaint Center, but Park Na Rae’s side told OSEN, “She only received vitamin injections from a licensed doctor,” denying any illegality.

Nonetheless, no suspension of activities is expected. Major programs like MBC’s I Live Alone and tvN’s Amazing Saturday continue to air normally without any edits involving Park Na Rae.

A close associate of Park Na Rae told OSEN, “It’s true that she’s having a hard time due to the sudden circumstances, but she believes she cannot cause harm to her colleagues and the production staff who make the programs together,” adding, “She is determined to do her best and continue her work despite the current situation.

As the controversy continues, whether the transfer by Park Na Rae’s mother was simply a “sign of concern” or an action that will affect legal judgment remains to be seen.
