Police Give Update On Park Na Rae’s Controversy
Six lawsuits and complaints have been confirmed involving Park Na Rae, who faces allegations of mistreatment toward her former manager and illegal medical procedures through a figure known as the “injection auntie.”
On the morning of the 15th, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency chief stated at a regular press briefing, “There are five cases filed against Park Na Rae and one case filed by her side.”
Previously, Park Na Rae’s former managers applied for a provisional seizure of real estate worth about ₩100 million KRW (about $67,800 USD) at the Seoul Western District Court. They claimed to have suffered from so-called “power abuse” during their employment at Park Na Rae’s one-person agency, including verbal abuse, assault, proxy prescription, non-payment of event fees, and being constantly on personal errand standby.
Additionally, it was revealed that Park Na Rae was reported for violating medical laws by receiving proxy prescriptions and psychotropic drugs through the so-called “injection auntie,” as well as violating the Development of the Popular Culture and Arts Industry Act due to operating an unregistered one-person agency, sparking public shock.
In response, Park Na Rae reportedly filed a complaint against her former managers at the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul for attempted extortion. Her side released a statement claiming that after the former managers, who worked for one year and three months, received severance pay, they demanded an excessive additional amount amounting to 10% of the company’s previous year’s sales. Regarding the allegations of illegal medical procedures, they insisted that the “injection auntie,” a medical professional, had provided home visits.
However, suspicions regarding Park N Rae’s alleged power abuse and the injection auntie remain unresolved. Ultimately, Park Na Rae decided to halt all activities.
The police stated regarding the cases, “Neither the complainants nor the accused have been investigated yet. We will conduct a strict investigation following proper procedures.”
Concerning the injection auntie allegations, they added, “The case has just been received. We will thoroughly investigate in accordance with procedures.”
