Popular 3rd Gen Idol-Turned-Actor Announces Plan For Military Enlistment

A popular former idol-turned-actor has announced his plans for military enlistment.

The star in question is Rowoon, former SF9 member and actor.

According to a statement made by his agency, FNC Entertainment, to the media outlet SPOTV, Rowoon is gearing up to fulfill his mandatory military service and is expected to enlist on July 21, KST.

As per usual, the actor will enter a basic training center where he will receive military training for several weeks before being assigned to an active duty unit.

Before enlistment, Rowoon will wrap up filming for the upcoming Disney+ K-Drama, The Murky Stream. He is expected to greet global viewers in the role of Jang Si Yul, a gangster in a lawless land of Joseon, sometime later this year.

Given that Rowoon’s enlistment period is the standard 18 months, he is expected to be discharged from military duty on January 21, 2026.
