Industry reports suggest that the group may continue activities with only five members out of the original nine, excluding those under YH Entertainment (formerly Yuehua).

According to a report by TenAsia on January 14, Sung Hanbin, Kim Jiwoong, Seok Matthew, Kim Taerae, and Park Gunwook are likely to extend their activities as ZEROBASEONE. The remaining four members — Zhang Hao, Ricky, Kim Gyuvin, and Han Yujin — are all under YH Entertainment and are reportedly preparing to take a different path once the group’s current contract concludes.

Last month, WakeOne announced that ZEROBASEONE’s full nine-member activities would be extended by two months. However, on January 12, YH Entertainment released a statement thanking fans for their long-term support of Zhang Hao, Ricky, Kim Gyuvin, and Han Yujin. The agency explained that starting from that date, both the company and the four artists would take time to prepare for their future plans based on mutual trust.

WakeOne told TenAsia that discussions about ZEROBASEONE’s future are ongoing and that nothing has been finalized. However, multiple industry insiders believe the group could follow a similar path to EVNNE, another Boys Planet-derived group. EVNNE continued as five members after two YH Entertainment artists left, and sources say ZEROBASEONE may do the same under WakeOne’s management.

ZEROBASEONE’s nine-member contract is set to expire in March.
