While not as much attention is placed on K-Pop idol profiles as in the past, certain aspects continue to be discussed.

Official profiles, more often done as special events or for trainees on survival shows, give a look at the idol’s personality and features, both mental and physical.  Age, of course, is usually one of the first noticed, with how agencies continue to debut young teenagers.

Another aspect many notice is the height of an idol, with exceptionally tall idols often going viral for it.

While profiles do include information, this information does not always have to be accurate, like in the case of idols lying about their ages. Recently, a member of a popular boy group revealed that all of the group’s members except one have smudged the truth a little.

During his radio show, Yuta At Home, NCT‘s Yuta spoke on the episode’s topic, exaggerating a little.

When one message sender said they added a little to their height, Yuta openly admitted NCT 127 all exaggerate their heights, including him. That is, except Johnny, who is listed as being 180cm tall (around 6’0), though it is believed he is closer to 188cm (around 6’2).

Of course, many fans (including this author) were pretty certain of this, and couldn’t help but joke about Yuta’s “reveal.”
